This kitchen was already a good size, but the configuration meant that it felt slightly cluttered and crowded and wasn't working for a young family. We added sliding glass doors and a large window to let in as much natural light as possible and provide a view of the outdoor area for the children to be able to play out there as they get older. We included a designated seating area for the family to all be able to sit together. The breakfast bar means that they can cook and still be close together creating a social hub in the family home. We used the colour palette to create an oasis with a colour palette inspired by sunsets on family holidays. The vibrant orange walls are complemented by the pink tiles and tonal accessories, while the black cabinetry adds drama while grounding the space. The copper tones running through the worktop pair beautifully with the colour scheme while being more functional as the veining hides any marks or spills!
